Sr. Specialist, Materials Requirement Planning

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portion of the Daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) of the materials within the Supply Chain Organization. This role will act as an end to end owner for a portfolio of purchased SKUs, ensuring a robust material supply plan is executed to support our global manufacturing network. This role will plan Raw Material Purchasing, BOM items, Non BOM Items, Critical Components, Consumables, Moderna Buy items, etc. per manufacturing demand and be able to create and present material planning analyses as needed for manufacturing readiness and inventory governance.

Heres What Youll Do

Execute MRP using SAP to plan raw material requirements weekly by defining appropriate MRP parameters, and executing requirements planning for both BOM driven and replenishment of all planned materials

Manage open purchase orders with multiple vendors and accurately reflect status in SAP

Escalation of risk through management when identified and working through cross functional resolution of the issue. Working closely with vendor-facing partner teams to drive vendor resolution as required.

Problem solving MRP and purchasing issues with BOM owners, production planning, and manufacturing. Ultimately determining root cause and correcting MRP signals

Key team member to facilitate raw material projects and NPI, ensuring all demand changes are captured appropriately and material is introduced with one valid purchasing plan

Provide guidance to supply chain best practice in multi-site/CMO planning environment. Ensuring tactical raw material readiness for new projects as part of master project plan

Review updates to master production forecasts to assess raw material and budget impacts

Responsible for performance to material planning KPIs including inventory target levels and safety stock adherence, on time quality release of incoming materials

Ad hoc data analysis for raw material planning as required

Additional duties as may be assigned from as required

Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

BA in Supply Chain, Science, Engineering or Economics/Finance with at least 3-5 years experience

3-5 years experience with SAP and MRP

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across role boundaries and form effective working relationships with colleagues.

Demonstrated ability to work and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment i.e., ability to succeed with pivoting demand signals, changes to process in multi-level BOMs, vendor driven supply constraints. Ability to understanding and react to situations in a timely manner without always having the full story available

Experience building a business strategy at the same time as executing the day-to-day process

Customer and business focused determined to deliver successful outcomes improving the business in a cost-effective way.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

Well organized a natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate, and conduct your work

Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively collaborate and communicate with senior CMC Management in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment you are communicative, and seek to build relationships on a daily basis

Experience working with cGMP material suppliers is preferred

Experience with Tableau is a plus
