    Job Description

    The Quality Control Manager will:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the operation's quality control program.
Establish strategic plans, policies, and procedures to meet or exceed customers' needs and expectations.Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine quality and reliability standards.Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and objectives.Align quality control objectives with production procedures to maximize reliability, minimize costs, and meet production/shipping requirements.Create, document, and implement inspection criteria and procedures.Interpret and communicate quality control philosophy to key personnel.Oversee inspection activities throughout the production cycle.Apply total quality management tools to analytical and reporting processes.Maintain active participation in internal continuous improvement teams.Design, develop, and implement quality control training programs.Drive defect root cause analysis using effective RCCA methodology.Identify, develop, and implement Quality Control Systems to support business objectives.Conduct performance appraisals to enhance subordinates' capabilities and contributions

The Successful Applicant

The Ideal QA Manager (Manufacturing) Will Have the Following:

Degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.Over 5 years of experience in quality assurance, ideally in a manufacturing setting. Preference for aerospace, automotive, or high volume manufacturing.More than 5 years in a leadership or supervisory position.Preferably certified in Black Belt; Lean Methodology is a plus.Must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.Local to Amherst, NH
