Job Description

Danfoss has immediate 2nd shift openings for Material Handler I – Distribution Operator at our Van Wert, OH facility.  The Distribution Operator will safely and efficiently perform manual labor during the production process of Danfoss products. They will be required to operate a powered industrial truck to pick products for shipment and be willing to work on equipment up to 20 feet in the air.  The employee could also perform other Distribution tasks such as weighing/sorting products, combine products, monitor, filing containers, and prepare products for shipping. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Ability to operate a range of powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, stock-pickers, or VNA (very narrow aisle) trucks. 

  • Must meet or exceed all quality standards set by the customers and individual Value Stream.

  • Able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision. 

  • Always promotes cooperation and “team oriented” work environment under the direction of leadership. 

  • Creates/maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment and practices safety for themself and others always.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Must have a high school degree or GED. This will be verified. 

  • Must be able to lift (up to) 50lb cartons on a consistent basis. 

  • Must be willing to work on equipment up to 20 feet in the air. 

  •  Prior operation of powered industrial vehicles preferred.
