This position is located within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Regional Office (SERO), Sustainable Fisheries Division (SFD) with one (1) vacancy located in St. Petersburg, FL. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Fish Biologist, you will perform the following duties: Advance the agency's mission in managing, conserving, and protecting living marine resources and their habitats in the Southeast U.S. Contributes to and sometimes coordinates the completion of scientific, technical, or regulatory work among interdisciplinary or inter-organizational groups. Coordinates and executes conservation and fishery management activities through professional collaboration with NMFS staff and regional partners, including identifying data gaps, communicating research needs, and managing projects, including planning and executing project budgets and overseeing progress. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with NOAA counterparts, scientists, government partners and constituents; represents the Agency on scientific, management, and technical issues.
