Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with on-call availability for after-hour emergencies

Reporting to: Assistant Facilities Manager
Type of Employment: Full-Time w/JLL employee benefits within 1 month of employment  

Estimated compensation: $33.37-$36.06/hourly paid bi-weekly

What your day-to-day will look like: 
  • Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, HVAC and controllers.

  • Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts, and other building systems.

  • Maintain and repair single phase electrical breakers, switches, receptacles, junction boxes, conduit, lights, and ballasts.

  • Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.

  • Prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces.

  • Perform general Handyman tasks to maintain buildings.

  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.

  • Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

  • Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

  • Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. 

  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

  • Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed.

Must provide proof of US Citizenship:
  • Due to federal government regulations pertaining to secured areas on-site, candidates applying for the position must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship. This requirement ensures compliance with legal and security mandates. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable

  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience; general building repair & maintenance in the commercial industry

  • Strong commercial plumbing background is a must

  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) &/or Building Management System (BMS)

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)

  • Strong customer service skills 

  • Must be able to respond and perform emergency repairs or preventative maintenance off hours as directed on nights and weekends

  • This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:

  • Lifting a minimum of 80 lbs.

  • Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.

  • Climbing a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
