As a Historian, you will:

Perform field and office work to assure built environment resources are given full consideration in a historical program of planning, design, construction, and operation.
Provide guidance in the fields of history, architectural history, historic preservation, and cultural resources management relative to studies or projects.
Establish built environment or historic preservation project scopes, schedules and budgets, workload strategies and priorities, and historic preservation program goals.
Manage built environment or historic preservation budgets and contracts, including preparing statements of work and cost estimates for studies or services to be conducted by contractors.
Conduct survey and inventory and complete inventory forms for various state historic preservation offices, tribal historic preservations offices and other consulting parties.
Conduct on-site investigations of project sites to determine the feasibility of proposed projects, including the development of design alternatives and subsequent analysis to ensure the project is consistent with policies, guidelines, and standards and environmental and cultural compliance laws and regulations.
