Description & Details:

The Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of fraternity and sorority recruitment, growth, and retention. This is accomplished largely through their advisement of the governing groups: Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Counsel, President’s Council; and the Order of Omega Honor Society. The Coordinator develops and implements leadership programs and activities that focus on student success, developing community, and fostering inclusion. The position also oversees policies and procedures in relation to health and safety and serves as the primary campus contact with the international organizations. The Coordinator actively assists with homecoming and welcome week planning, and coordinates commuter student engagement opportunities. The position is an active collaborator with partners across campus and the community in creating and delivering comprehensive outside of classroom learning opportunities that will enable students to positively impact their communities.

The Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life is responsible for the development of learning and engagement opportunities using high-impact co-curricular practices. The Coordinator serves as the advisor to FSL governing bodies and is the primary contact for the FSL Chapters on campus, and therefore is required to work frequent evenings and weekends. The Coordinator also is the supervisor one Graduate Assistant position and participates in the general administration of the Student Activities Office. This position will actively promote equity and inclusion while using wellbeing and belongingness as frameworks of their work.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; with frequent evenings and weekends required during the academic year; 7:30am-4:00pm; during summer and breaks

Advertised Salary:

$44,000+; plus excellent benefits package

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree
Demonstrated commitment to working with and supporting diverse populations
Demonstrated organizational capabilities, detail orientation, and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to respond to emotional student and employee situations in a calming and resilient manner
Proficient computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or Leadership, Student Affairs/Student Development, Counseling, or related field
Experience with fraternity and sorority life programming
Experience with leadership development programming
Experience with learning outcomes/assessment
Student advising experience
Experience with curriculum design and learning outcome development and assessment
