The University of Miami of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology.
**Essential Job Functions:**
* Provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases
* Conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services
* Provide outpatient and inpatient care to patients at University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital
* Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.
* Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff
**Desired Qualifications:**
* MD/DO Degree required
* ACGME US Internal Medicine Residency
* Completed 3-year ACGME US Endocrinology Fellowship
* Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology (or board eligible)
* Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
* Valid DEA licensure
* Current ACLS and BLS certification required
* Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
* Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
* Current BLS certification required. ACLS (if applicable)
* Valid DEA licensure
