Summary

The Durham VA Medical Center is currently looking to hire a Periodontist.



Duties

As a Periodontist, he/she is licensed and privileged to perform the duties of a general dentist, to include, but not limited to the following:

  • Comprehensive periodontal examination, consultation, and treatment planning.
  • Complete occlusal adjustment.
  • Osseous grafts and resective surgery.
  • Soft tissue and autogenous palatal and connective tissue grafts.
  • Root resective procedures; -Tooth extraction/ including impactions) associated with periodontal surgery.
  • Vestibuloplasty, Frenectomy.
  • Surgical tooth exposure, Surgical perforation repair.
  • Nonsurgical management of temporomandibular disorders.
  • Surgical removal of dentoalveolar osseous lesions.
  • Sinus augmentation procedures in conjunction with dental implant placement.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
