This position will report to the Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness & Compliance. This position will be based on the campus of Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

The Director of Regulatory Affairs will provide legal analysis and guidance for a wide range of activities related to the legal and regulatory requirements of operating an institution of higher education. This position will be expected to remain current on issues and trends in higher education, regulatory affairs, accreditation, and compliance, along with serving on various compliance committees and/or working groups.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the University's Title IX coordinator

  • Serve as the University's ADA/504 coordinator

  • Provide guidance & develop training for staff who administer the University's compliance programs in the following areas: Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504, Title IX, Clery Act, Violence Against Women Act, and the Standards for Safeguarding Customer Information (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act)

  • Create on-going compliance training for students, faculty, and staff in an effort to foster a safe and respectful educational and work environment

  • Provide analysis of current and proposed federal and state legislation that could impact institutional operations

  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

  • An earned Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA accredited program

  • Experience and knowledge of higher education law, contract law, Title IX regulations

  • This job operates in a office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
