Growing global chemical manufacturer is looking for an AP Specialist for their corporate headquarters in Northbrook. This position is responsible for the AP input and processing purchase order related invoices or cost invoices in accordance to agreed terms. You would be responsible for data entry of invoices, monitoring of invoice discrepancies and guiding purchasing associates in the research and resolution process. You would also be assisting with month end balancing and reconciliation of AP balance sheet accounts. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and works on a small team. This position is long-term assignment(1+ year) with potential for conversion in future.

  • Associates degree or higher in Accounting preferred
  • SAP Experience a plus, Ariba preferred
  • 2+ years accounts payable experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing and/or Distribution environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills preferred
  • Account Receivables experience a plus
  • Experience with ADP Payroll a plus
