Position Title: Part time Facility Custodian, afternoon position
Job Summary: The facility custodian will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met in all designated areas of the facility. This includes performing cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, as well as emptying trash receptacles and sanitizing surfaces. The facility custodian will also be required to perform minor maintenance tasks and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Responsibilities:
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors on a regular basis to remove dirt, debris, and stains.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment to maintain a clean and presentable appearance.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors, and replenish supplies as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to ensure they are free of smudges and streaks.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and request replenishment as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and temperatures.
