  • Underwriting New Business Opportunities:

    • Evaluate incoming submissions and determine if they align with our underwriting appetite.
    • Assess risk factors, pricing, and profitability to make informed decisions.
    • Prepare and issue quotes and binders for new business.

  • Renewal Management:

    • Handle assigned renewals by reviewing current policy status, conditions, and pricing.
    • Gather updated information and take appropriate action.
    • Ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service to agents.

  • Relationship Building:

    • Cultivate strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients.
    • Provide a high level of customer service and accountability.
    • Tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each stakeholder.
Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial underwriter, preferably in the agricultural or farm insurance industry.
    • Proven track record of successfully underwriting new business and managing renewals.

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills to interact with brokers and clients.
    • Independence and confidence in decision-making.

  • Education:

    • While formal education is not the primary focus, a relevant degree or industry certifications are advantageous.
