IT Specialist

Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Communications (OC), Call Center Operations Group, in the Division of Call Center Systems.

As a IT Specialist (Security), GS-2210-12, you will review, analyze, promote, and implement awareness of HHS enterprise-wide information technology (IT) security and/or system development life cycle (SDLC) policies and standards.

Duties

• Develops procedures, awareness programs, and supporting templates to aid stakeholders in developing their HHS certification and accreditation and/or system development lifecycle (SDLC) artifacts.
• Drafts strategies for developing system development quality assurance (QA) program management office.
• Prepares internal and external reports that may include providing audit liaison support to IT operations, such as the Federal Information Security Act (FISMA), Chief Financial Officer, and others as directed.
• Provides internal reporting to CIO on IT governance activities, such as periodic reports capturing the status of HHS systems’ compliance with HHS security metrics.
