About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening in our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Senior DevOps System Administrator. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting the Data Analytics Lab team as part of our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the clientâs DevOps infrastructure within AWS, Azure, and other hosting services in a highly technical role that provides excellent career development opportunities
- Collaborate with other technical leads in the design, implementation, and operation of the client's systems infrastructure
- Demonstrate strong technical design, documentation, presentation, and troubleshooting skills while working in complex environments
- Train leaders in other departments for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications
- Develop recommendations for enhancing our software support services
- Develop security baselines and standards for DevOps and other resources, hardening and strengthening security to exceed the latest best practices
- Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
- Update work instruction documentation and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with vendors in the research, development, and implementation of various technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues including end-user support via phone, email, and remote control
- Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins
