This position serves as the Clinical Director/Chief of Medical Staff for the Fort Yuma Service Unit. The facility is a AAAHC accredited community oriented outpatient facility with medical home designation. This position is located on the Quechan/Ft. Yuma Indian Reservation and serves the Quechan and Cocopah Tribal members. Position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and receives advice from the Phoenix Area Chief Medical Officer.
Duties
- Serves as Clinical Director/Chief of Medical Staff is a member of the executive team, responsible for supervisory, administrative, and managerial responsibilities, and also provides patient care services as a primary care physician.
- Participate in the formulation of policies, programs, and procedures related to the delivery of clinical services.
- Maintains systems for monitoring quality assessment, AAAHC accreditation, fiscal management, GPRA performance, Medicare, and IHS standards.
- Supervises either directly or indirectly all medical staff, serving as their principal advisor on assigned committees and task forces.
- Responsible for the Medical Services Division.
- Exercises full managerial and supervisory responsibility and accountability for the function and administration of clinical services at the Fort Yuma Service Unit.
- Provides comprehensive primary care to patients, working to strengthen the patient-centered medical home.
