Roles and Responsibilities
Monitoring and Management
- Use monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog) for network and application monitoring.
- Analyze and escalate issues from these tools promptly.
Incident Management
- Handle bridge calls and high-priority incidents efficiently.
- Ensure rapid resolution to minimize operational impact.
Data Center Support
- Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting and rack & stack IT equipment.
- Perform basic tasks in the Data Center as needed.
System Administration
- Execute basic commands and tasks on Linux and Windows systems.
- Manage Autosys functions and perform AS400 monitoring and backups.
IT Service Management
- Utilize ITSM tools and follow the ITIL framework for managing IT services.
Communication and Teamwork
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Work effectively with team members across various locations.
Process Adherence
- Follow established processes and execute tasks accurately.
- Be proactive and ensure timely follow-ups.
24/7/365 Support
- Provide continuous support, including weekends and national holidays, ensuring uninterrupted network operations.
The hourly rate for this position is between $28 – $32 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
