SUMMARY

Our brewers must have a passion for the craft of beer making and creating exceptional beers for our customers. This position includes the operation and basic maintenance of raw materials handling, Brewhouse operations, Cellar management, and Filtration procedures. Additional responsibilities include the analysis of various production and quality parameters. Always looking for continuous improvement, candidates must be committed to quality, understand brewery sanitation and help create a safe work environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primarily you will be working in our cellars as a brewers assistant. Mostly running CIP programs, performing cellar checks, assisting with brewers daily workload

Follow standard operating procedures (SOP), filing non-conformities, suggesting process improvements, staying abreast of brewing communications and process changes, and attending brewers' meetings as schedule allows

Participate in self-directed training and education in the area of your choice

Assist with vessel cleaning as well as general brewhouse cleaning

Manage daily tasks to meet production needs, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, reading and following production schedules

Follow appropriate cleaning schedules for floors, brewhouse, brewery, tanks, mill room, walk-in cooler, other brewing equipment, indoor and outdoor storage and brewing related areas

Document processes in the brewhouse and cellar

Ability to make critical decisions based on various production and quality parameters

Commitment to being a part of a team dynamic

Strong organizational, communication, and record keeping skills

Good people skills and professional demeanor

Ability to quickly assess the status of operations and troubleshoot process issues

The ability to multitask. Strong time management skills and an attention to detail is required

Self-motivated; ability to work unsupervised

Share in all production duties and responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Physical strength, flexibility and stamina required. Must be able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly

Week 1 and 2 will be on day shift, 6am to 2pm. This will be an intensive training period

Weeks 3 to 10 will be on afternoon shift, 10am to 6pm

Must be in school pursuing a brewing degree or science based degree

Previous brewing experience is a plus
