Sales Planning Functional Lead- Trade Promotion Manager

The Sales Planning Functional Lead- Trade Promotion Management is responsible for managing the sales TPM & TPO tools by owning the planning tool, prioritization for sales teams and driving adoption for US Sales.  The functional lead is considered the product owner and owns all key decisions regarding build and implementation of TPM tools.  Additionally, the associate will be responsible for developing the TPM product roadmap in conjunction with stakeholder and developer Inputs. This position will drive alignment of processes and key inputs from the sales organization.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s in business, analytics or other relevant area. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of Demand and Customer Management experience within a FMCG environment with a demonstrated ability to act with the customer and company in mind.
  • 1-2 years of demonstrated project management experience.
  • Previous trade promotion experience
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of applying a wide range of analytics that drive insights and actions for complex customers and a variety of business situations. 
  • Experience in problem solving, with the ability to use processes/ tools/ systems to unlock knowledge and generate insights and develop solutions for a wide range of customers and issues.
  • Strong business acumen with a strong understanding and application of the sales cycle, trends, and broader business implications to making judgments and recommendations for action.
  • Experience of building strong relationships in a cross functional environment.
  • Experience in areas such as (but not exclusive to):analyst roles, supply, planning sales operations and Customer management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Leads and drives launch of a new TPM system within Mars Wrigley US.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and implement trade forecasting tools and reporting that drives understanding and change management across sales, supply, and marketing.
  • Ownership of sales trade planning tool maintenance, roadmap, and development implementation.
  • Analyses trade forecast performance and leverages reporting and resources to develop tactical and operational plans to improve.
  • Partners with sales and Internal stakeholders to support strategic demand planning and develop wholistic incremental demand call.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders internally to navigate challenges and provide solutions as required to maximize accuracy.
  • Identifies opportunities to introduce better, faster, more accurate and scalable solutions that better meet teams needs and deliver strong accuracy.
  • Coordinates with Technical team including data scientists, digital team and product development team to address issues in functionality and build roadmap for future improvements.
  • Utilizes operational reviews to proactively gain insights, identify issues and propose improvements solutions. 
  • Supports Sales and Operations in understanding the total planning forecast, risks and opportunities and overall actual performance vs plan. Also supports in identifying what actions need to be put in place to drive improved accuracy.
  • Identifies and implements best practice for the Sales team through the periodic planning process.
