Description: Our client is currently seeking a IT Compliance/ Data Privacy Consultant for a remote 6-9 month contract supporting EST hours.
Your responsibilities will include policy reviews, documentation updates, and facilitating compliance assessments. Here are the key areas you'll be involved in:
CCPA/CPRA Documentation (Data Privacy):
- Update CCPA/CPRA procedures and companion documents to reflect the latest requirements.
- Revise website privacy statements to comply with CPRA guidelines.
- Evaluate and enhance existing Enterprise BT policies.
- Draft new internal policies related to Business Technology (BT).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct annual compliance reviews.
- Collect evidence related to CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) controls.
- Document baseline configuration details.
- Review and update the disaster recovery plan, including procedures and Business Impact Analyses (BIAs).
- Assess our organization's readiness for compliance with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Identify gaps and recommend necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Legal, Compliance).
- 5+ years experience in IT compliance, data privacy, or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience around Disaster Recovery and developing DR Plans
- Familiarity with CCPA, CPRA, CMMC, NIST, and EU-US Data Privacy regulations.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
