The Machinist provides quality machine work for the factory maintenance department. They will operates lathes, shapers, milling machines, drill presses, metallizers, arbor presses.Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:
The Machinist works with various metals and machines according to specification.
Machines spare parts for factory equipment.
Overhauls and repairs mechanical equipment and rebuilds shafting according to specifications.
Acts as a resource to mechanics in use of measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, levels, etc.
Rebuilds and metallizes shafts and pumps.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.
Individuals are required to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test and Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge.
Individuals are required to submit to and successfully pass a Safety Screen that evaluates their ability to safely execute duties and tasks of this position.
Able to read, write and communicate effectively.
Must have a valid driver's license.
