Facility Information: Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo, New Mexico. ER Volume 28,000 yearly. Envision Physician Services has the ER and Hospitalist services at this location.
Emergency Department: Level III Trauma Center 28,000 annual ED visits 24 hours of Physician coverage Daily APP coverage
Community Information: The rich history of GCRMC proves a community that comes together can accomplish great things. From the early conception in 1948 when Gerald Champion and other community leaders decided to provide Otero County with a hospital of its own to the opening in August 1949. Sixty-two years later, this hospital still belongs to the community of Alamogordo. Physicians from HAFB have full admission status at GCRMC to treat Department of Defense patients and their dependents.
