We are currently looking for a board certified gastroenterologist to join our well-respected practice with office locations in Berkeley, CA and Walnut Creek, CA, and time will be divided between the two locations.

  • Our practice is part of BASS Medical Group, which is a well-established network comprised of 465+ providers across 42 medical specialties
  • Our highly regarded gastroenterologist retired, and we are looking for an experienced physician to step in and take over their busy patient panel
  • Our team includes 4 board certified gastroenterologists and a tenured support staff, including but not limited to 5 medical assistants to support each physician
  • We provide the full spectrum of outpatient gastroenterology services and our physicians primarily divide their time between our two office locations and two physician-owned endoscopy centers
  • Additionally, our physicians cover call on a 1:7 basis at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center on a voluntary basis - this is not a requirement
  • The incoming physician will have the opportunity for early partnership, which includes the option to buy into the practice, the two endoscopy centers, and the pathology lab, which provides significant earning potential for our partners

Within a suburban area, residents of Berkeley and Walnut Creek are located just under an hour away from Oakland and San Francisco, with easy access to many major roadways, 4 international airports (San Francisco International Airport-SFO, San Jose International Airport-SJC, and Oakland International Airport-OAK, Sacramento International Airport-SMF), and several BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) stations, making the excitement of San Francisco just a short ride awayThe community is situated in close proximity to the highly regarded University of California Berkeley, as well as many other well-respected colleges and universities

The BASS Medical Group is a physician and patient centric multispecialty group whose purpose is to maintain physician autonomy and financial security within the construct of a large medical group. Beginning with approximately 50 doctors in the Walnut Creek area in 2014, we have grown to 465+ providers across 42 specialties in our 128 locations throughout Northern California, and look forward to expanding our reach in the future.

Colorado, New York, New Jersey, California and Washington Residents Only: The salary for this role is $400,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
