The Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board eligible neonatologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to join fourteen neonatologists, a behavioral psychologist, seven neonatal-perinatal medicine fellows, and numerous advanced practitioners in the Section of Neonatology.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: MD or DO, strong clinical and educational skills, and dedication to, and/or funded, scholarly activity in clinical, basic, or translational research or quality improvement.

The Section is part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Brenner Children s Hospital that manages infants in the Sisel Newborn Intensive Care Unit, a 79-bed state-of-the-art center that opened in 2019.

The Section has active research focused on neonatal follow-up, ELGANS, clinical trials, and fetal programming amongst others. The Level IV NICU serves as the referral center for the more than 28,000 neonates born in Northwest North Carolina s Perinatal Region II with admissions of approximately 900 annually.
