About the Position: These positions are located with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Legal Office, Acquisition Law and Operations Division (ALOD) at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties
- Acts as the senior attorney for major contracts in all procurement matters including those of substantial significance to the Command.
- Serves as a key member of the Command, Directorate, or Project staff in acquisition planning, executing procurement and in problem solving.
- Provides legal advice in the authoritative interpretation of statutes, policies, DoD regulations, common law, and administrative law.
- Ensures that the Government legal position is sound and documented properly to protect the Governments interest in the event that dispute, litigation, or legal problems develop.
- Reviews procurement procedures and outlines potential legal problems, recommending approaches for dealing with or resolving them.
- Provides total legal support during source selection, participating in the preparation of source selection plans, briefing source selection boards and advising throughout the evaluation process.
