About the opportunity? 

RHI Magnesitais looking to hire  Safety/Environmental Prof to develop, implement and oversee the organization's environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations. Responsibilities are within the environmental health and safety function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

 

  • Position design, develop, implement and oversee the organization's environmental, health and safety programs
  • Review Create procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities
  •  ensure that all facilities follow regulations and are in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Responsibilities are within the environmental health and safety function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.
  • Compiling instructions and regulations for treatment of waste, air & water pollution and advises in these matters;
  • Monitoring existing and potential environmental protection concerns and deciding / implementing measures for remedial action;
  • Preparing regular external EHS reporting for official authorities, or for internal stakeholder;
  • Keeping abreast with all respective regulations and standards in global, regional or local law.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 to 8 years Relevant Experience

  • Managing projects/processes, working independently.
  • Coaching & reviewing subordinates
  • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  • Developing, proposing and implementing function specific environmental guidelines, processes and/or methods.
