The Opportunity
QVC's Suffolk Distribution Division has an opportunity for you to participate in our Facilities Department as a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic. You will report to the Facilities Maintenance Manager and Fleet Lead. You will work Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm and perform a variety of maintenance tasks to our Material Handling Equipment and Yard Trucks.
Your Impact
You will install, maintain, repair and fabricate facilities equipment and assets (assignments include repairs and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment and Yard Trucks)
Perform Material Handling Equipment and Yard Truck inspections as needed by QVC and the State of Virginia regulations; produce reports to meet QVC and the State of Virginia guidelines
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and facilities following an established testing and preventive maintenance schedule and reports findings
Work from mechanical and electrical drawings, sketches, manuals, specifications, and written and oral instructions
Work directly from Work Orders; use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools (On Board Diagnostics)
Follow all company safety and security procedures
What You Bring
Experience repairing automotive and heavy equipment including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components
A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and training; prefer an Associate's degree in a maintenance, electrical, or mechanical discipline
3 to 5 years experience in Material Handling Equipment and Fleet Maintenance or related field
Can comprehend and assimilate mathematical calculations, deductive reasoning, and analyze logic information
Computer experience, including Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, and Outlook
Certified background in Crown MHE industrial internal combustion and electrical MHE with experience in wire guidance controls
