As a member of the Analytical Laboratory at Southfield, you will be gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights and recommendations that drive informed decision-making in the manufacturing and development of Automotive Coatings which will help to contribute to the organization success.

  • Conducting Analytical research and analysis to assess coating properties and performance.
  • Evaluating raw materials and formulations to optimize product quality.
  • Developing and implementing testing methods to ensure product compliance and effectiveness
  • Analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.and troubleshooting production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and enhance product development.
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Communicating findings and recommendations clearly to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, actively monitoring and enforcing safety measures.
  • Taking ownership of routing laboratory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as setting up new laboratory equipment promptly and accurately.
If you...

 

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience in laboratory techniques and instrumentation, including HPLC, GC/Pyrolizer, GC/FID, GC/MS, FTIR and SEM
  • Strong Analytical skills with the ability to design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey experimental procedures, results, and conclusions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
