Calling All Mud Enthusiasts

Do you have a passion for mud? Does the smell of fresh dirt invigorate your soul? Do you enjoy spending time outdoors, even in the heat? Then we have the perfect job for you


The Minnesota Children's Museum is seeking Summer Mud Ambassadors to join our team. This is a seasonal position that will run from June to August.


PAY: $17.00/hour


SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week, seasonal (June - August 2024). Must be flexible with days, evenings, and weekends.


NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 3


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead mud-themed activities outside in the museums back yard, for children, and adults
  • Create and maintain a safe and fun mud environment.
  • Clean up and maintain the mud area.
  • Be a mud aficionado

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 months of customer service experience
  • A love of mud and a willingness to get dirty
  • The ability to work well with children of all ages, and adults.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • The ability to work outside in the summer and stand for long periods of time.
  • The desire and ability to inspire play

IDEAL CANDDIATE

  • Ability to work well with people in general, and to work effectively and comfortably in a variety of settings - from busy to slow.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently and complete tasks and communicate in an effective manner.
  • Commitment to continued learning for both personal and team growth.
  • Skill in finding and completing additional tasks when assigned work is completed.
  • Daily interest and enthusiasm for working with children, youth, and multi-generational groups.
