Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, and storing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. May perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in the distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received and shipped goods and process items that do not conform. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. May examine stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. This job contributes to and supports the company's research and development efforts to create high value therapeutics to address unmet medical needs.

Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Follows established procedures on routine work and requires instructions only on new assignments. Works on assignments with supervision relevant to materials management. Provides shipping and receiving support or parts or products. Follows SOPs and ensures compliance to regulations including FDA and safety. Performs receiving, initial inspection and storage for GMP and non-GMP materials under SOP control. Performs cycle count activities. Updates data in ERP. May initiate and maintain inventory control records. Loads and unloads materials and products on trucks and trailers. Interfaces with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, and Purchasing. Receives, stores, moves and issues raw materials and finished goods. Performs cleaning activities associated with maintaining the warehouse. Delivers materials to end users. Uses materials handling equipment including forklift for materials movement. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requires a minimum of a High School diploma. Equivalent experience may be accepted. A minimum of 2 years industry experience is required. A minimum of 1 year warehouse or manufacturing experience is required. Experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry is a plus. Working knowledge of FDA and GMP requirements is a plus. Experience in computer-based systems including MRP is a plus. Strong attention to detail regarding documentation is required. Good communication skills both oral and written are a must. Must be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures. Excellent organizational skills are required.
