Provide technical engineering insight into and oversight of commercial launch service provider flight software development, qualification, and test activities to ensure mission success.
Ensure that launch service provider flight software practices meet NASA mission requirements.
Establish and coordinate launch vehicle multidisciplinary flight software test and review activities within the Launch Services Program.
Support the flight software elements of certification of new launch vehicle providers.
Build solid working relationships and interface with technical engineering counterparts at commercial launch service providers, and provide technical engineering input, direction, and leadership as appropriate.
Develop, improve, and maintain analytical tools, methods, and processes to efficiently perform insight and oversight activities.
Support the Launch Services Program Engineering Review Board process, both as a presenter and a board member when required.
