Job Purpose
Responsible for leading and overseeing the Production Contingent Labor team. Independently responsible for leading the acquisition & deployment process of all Contingent Production Associates programs for all the HDMA and AHM manufacturing plants and AHM Parts Centers in the United States; overseeing the management of contingent provider contracts and performance. Responsible for the strategy, design, and implementation/alignment of contingent programs across the United States. Ensures that all plants and parts centers receive the highest quality Contingent associates. Provide ongoing support to management in the annual review of these programs.
Key Accountabilities
- Regional Contingent Hiring Business strategy development and implementation
- Manage and coach the Production Contingent Labor team to align the work and initiative with the overall strategy
- Develop solutions to problems of various scope and complexity using Honda problem solving methods to address workforce gaps
- Build a network of productive relationships across plants and parts centers to achieve Team plans and targets
- Responsible for managing the relationship with and performance of contingent providers with strong communication and feedback; evaluation of KPIs/SLAs to secure success with the stability of contingent workforce
- Complete analytics and reporting to demonstrate stabilization efforts and identify needed countermeasure to ensure Direct Process Coverage (DPC)
- Initiate frequent, interactive discussions with Production Contingent Labor Team to ensure two-way sharing of thoughts and ideas
- Make sound decisions with limited direction
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor Degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 - 10 Years of relevant experience
- Understanding of laws and regulations related to staffing and recruitment.
- High level of understanding related to overall HR functions
- Strong HR experience and knowledge
- Ability to rotate PDCA effectively and efficiently
- Proven ability to manage projects from inception to conclusion
- Ability to coordinate and align staffing initiatives
- Highly effective communication skills (both written and verbal) including ability to create “story” and persuasively present
- Strong leadership skills including proven ability to develop and mentor team members
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of HR systems
