This role will be responsible for the analysis of operational and financial data throughout the division while working with the product support leadership team to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation, growth and meaningful action.

Responsibilities:

  • Support product support management team with ad-hoc and ongoing reporting needs and data requests
  • Assist in report creation & enhancement with our corporate BI reporting team
  • Provide day-to-day sales, operational and administrative support as needed
  • Work closely with product support leadership to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize operational results for use by various key stakeholders, creating reports, specifications, instructions, and flowcharts
  • Serve as liaison between staff and management by analyzing and interpreting data for company procedures, policies, and workflows
  • Interpret data using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
  • Evaluate key performance indicators, provide ongoing reports, and recommend business plan updates
  • Work with Human Resources team on management compensation data needs and reporting
  • Analyze and report Caterpillar Service Excellence Program data on a periodic basis
  • Assist in branch financial review process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred (or equivalent), preferably in computer science, mathematics, business management, or economics
  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated Power BI knowledge and experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office aptitude
  • Ability to compile, analyze and share data and analysis in a meaningful manner to others
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Ability to write easily understood reports and graphics
  • Strong problem solving, planning and organization skills
  • Advanced analytical skills, with experience collecting, organizing, and disseminating abundant information accurately
  • Works in a cooperative manner with all others

Travel:

  • Minimal to up to 25% on occasion
