This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: The mission of the CCAD is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components.



Duties
  • Perform manufacturing of parts and complete items of equipment from raw stock of different kinds of metals and metal alloys and other materials.
  • Perform machining work required in the manufacture of castings, forging, weldments and other fabrications.
  • Uses precision tools as necessary to determine and then to reproduce proper dimensions, radii, and angles to be cut, ground or machined.
  • Fabricate parts and repairs equipment to specifications precise fit or scale from instructions, drawings, blueprints, or item samples.
  • Operate machine or power and hand tools.
