Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our welding Machine Divsion, located within the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters.  The Machine Division Plant Engineering Group is responsible for designing test equipment for new products, and supporting existing test equipment on the shop floor. This group is also responsible for the installation and support of other production machines and systems. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with R&D teams to develop new test equipment and procedures, and work closely with Maintenance and Production to solve issues that arise on the shop floor. This position will specifically use LabVIEW software to create and modify custom applications to support test equipment.

Responsibilities 

-Design and support industrial electrical systems.
-Make program updates to National Instruments LabVIEW code that runs testing applications.
-Integrate smart torque tools into data collection systems.
-Draft executive summaries and project proposals.
-Troubleshoot production issues related to industrial electrical systems.
-Identify projects and processes that align with and drive towards the 2025 Higher Standard Goals.
-Apply NEC knowledge to plan for industrial equipment installations; collaborate with electricians to update and correct documentation errors.
-Configure managed Ethernet switches.
-Program Rockwell Automation PLCs and Beijer HMIs.
-Work with IT to troubleshoot network and communication issues.
 

Education & Experience Required

-Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
-For Level II Engineer: 3 + years’ of professional experience.
-For Level III Engineer: 
-For Level IV Engineer: 
-AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.
-Knowledge of basic networking concepts.
-Knowledge of NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 79, and industrial electrical installations.
-Demonstrate initiative and ability to accept responsibilities with minimal supervision.
-SQL Database experience is a plus.
-National Instruments LabVIEW programming experience preferred.
