Part of a state-wide oncology care program - the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network (MHCCN):
The MHCCN is an integrated care delivery network across the southern, central, and coastal regions of Maine and eastern New Hampshire. Designed to provide care as close to home as possible, the network is comprised of 12 hospital partners and provides comprehensive cancer care to more than 6,800 analytic cancer patients annually MHCCNâs comprehensive cancer care program is ASCO QOPI, COC, NAPBC and NAPRC accredited. Fully integrated surgical oncology, radiation oncology, palliative care, patient support/social worker, nutritionist service Robust research program through membership of the NCIâs Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). A total of 19 dedicated tumor board meetings for multiple cancer types (GI/GU, liver cancer, breast, lung, neuro-oncology, hematologic malignancies) a month, open virtually to all MHCCN members Leading-edge analytics and metrics including membership of ASCO CancerLinQ. Established general oncology practice well suited to part time work (0.75 FTE) consisting of 2 days of work at Memorial Hospital, North Conway, NH and 1.5 days of work at Western Maine Health, Norway, ME Ideal for those seeking a change in work-life balance and downsize full-time practices Supported at each location by experienced APRNs, on-site infusion center, oncology pharmacy staffed by dedicated pharmacists, nurse navigators, social workers, and other allied staff Inpatient care is provided by hospitalists at these locations. Supplemented as necessary by tertiary care oncology services available at Maine Health Cancer Care, South Portland and Maine Medical Center (MMC), Portland. MMC is the stateâs leading tertiary care hospital with 700 licensed beds and is fully equipped to manage acute hematology including malignancies and complex oncology cases Built in Primary Care referral bases with multiple referral sources from the communityWhy North Conway-Norway?
