Role Overview

You will play a crucial role in overseeing the company’s financial health. This position involves managing the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and finance systems. You will work closely with senior finance and business leaders to drive strategic financial decisions and ensure robust financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Financial Management: Oversee a global team to manage the company’s income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
  • FP&A Processes: Manage essential financial planning and analysis processes, including long-term planning, annual budgeting, and monthly reporting and forecasting.
  • Executive Support: Assist the CEO and CFO in preparing business reviews that highlight key risks and opportunities, proposing actionable strategies to enhance growth and profitability.
  • Report Development: Collaborate with finance leaders to create and maintain a standard catalogue of financial reports and key operational metrics, ensuring they drive action and improve financial outcomes.
  • Function Support: Manage budgeting and tracking for Legal, HR, IT, finance, and other general administrative functions.
  • Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to digitize analytics and reporting capabilities, implementing finance simplification projects to streamline financial reporting systems.
  • Separation Projects: Support projects related to the separation of key financial systems.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in finance with a proven track record of scalable success.
  • Location: Must be able to commute to our Shelton, CT or Woburn, MA facility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Experience with SAP, Hyperion (HFM/Essbase), and Business Objects.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading a global team.
  • Financial Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial systems, with the ability to link operational processes to financial accounting and system requirements.
  • Collaboration: Team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate ambiguity, show initiative, and manage conflicts and difficult conversations effectively, especially during times of change.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with a focus on action and transparency, considering potential outcomes from multiple angles.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex activities in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications, with a strong proficiency in financial systems and applications.
