Join American Vintage Home, the award-winning HVAC, heating, and plumbing expert in Evanston, serving the Chicago North Shore and beyond. We're looking for a skilled Plumbing Technician with expertise in service or installation. Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and installing plumbing equipment, and sewer repairs to deliver exceptional service. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of related plumbing experience.
Compensation:
Our plumbers receive up to $50 per hour plus monthly bonuses averaging $1k
Key Responsibilities:
Service Plumber - Diagnosing & Troubleshooting:
Perform drain clearing, cleaning, rodding, and jetting.Address issues with water heaters (gas, electric, tankless), sump pumps, ejector pumps, gas lines, bathroom fixtures, low water pressure, no hot water, leaking faucets and pipes, burst pipes, garbage disposal, and various pipe work.Expertise in sewer line maintenance, covering backflow, repair, flooding, clogs, and backups.Install fixtures and appliances.Conduct pipe replacement using various materials such as galvanized, cast iron, copper, PVC, ABS, PEX.Install and maintain sump pumps and ejector pumps.Installation Plumber:
Install fixtures, appliances, and plumbing systems with precision.Undertake sewer and drain line replacement and relining.Diagnose issues, conduct thorough inspections, and determine effective repair or replacement solutions.Replace and repair pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures using various materials to ensure optimal functionality, with extra focus on sewer repair and relining.Handle excavation and hand digs when required.Coordinate with contractors and project managers to meet deadlines.Provide exceptional service, address client inquiries and concerns, and maintain positive customer relationships.Soft Skills:
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Communicate effectively with customers and team members.Collaborate in a teamwork environment with superiors, peers, and apprentices.Display a personable and professional demeanor with both customers and the team.Keys to Success:
