Our client, a bespoke whisky auction business based in Inverness, is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Trainee Auction Administrator to join their growing team.

The role will include training to become the Director's point of contact over time. This advancing role will enable them to manage the daily operations of the business, including a variety of tasks such as customer service, administration, data entry, and assistant with packaging and shipping.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to enquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist clients with registration and provide information about the auction process.
  • Resolve any issues or concerns clients may have, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Arrange collection schedules for whisky bottles from clients.
  • Coordinate with courier services for the collection and delivery of items.
  • Create shipping labels post-auction and resolve any import/export issues that may arise.
  • Take bulk photographs of whisky bottles for auction listings.
  • Write detailed and accurate descriptions of each bottle and condition.
  • Allocate bottles to appropriate orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with the packaging of whisky bottles to ensure safe and secure shipment.
  • Track shipments and handle any issues related to delivery.
  • Input and maintain accurate data in the auction system.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
