Position Vacancy Announcement
Florida A & M University's College of Science and Technology is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Instructor in Mathematics vacancy. The Department of Mathematics is accepting applications for Instructor position to fill in Fall 2024.

Responsibilities
Responsible for teaching; Responsible for academic advising and other university activities including service to department and university; and performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess a minimum of master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuary or closely related field. Priority will be given to applicant with strong statistics background. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching a broad range of Mathematics courses and will also share an interest in developing interdisciplinary initiatives in Mathematics.

Faculty are expected to participate in university service and to exhibit a dedication to fostering civil discourse while engaging University Stakeholders and performing all assigned duties and responsibilities.

Ability to teach undergraduate courses;

Demonstrated record of developing the academic skills of students;

Ability to utilize modern technology in teaching;

Record of implementing pedagogical best practices in teaching mathematics and statistics courses;

Ability to work collegially with other faculty;

Ability to teach collaboratively with faculty across disciplines;

Ability to show high levels of scientific creativity; and,

Ability to clearly communicate scientific information, both written and orally.

Pay Plan
This is a Faculty position.
