RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is partnering with a long-time client in the Middlesex County to find a skilled AP Accountant with possible experience in high-level data reconciliation and/or inventory research.Essential Functions:

• AP Accountant will run daily fuel inventory reports to identify variances between system calculations and actual store inventory; Investigate and resolve any discrepancies
• Match fuel deliveries to Bill of Lading (BOL) documents and verify that the Company has entered these deliveries into the system; If not, enter the data on the Company's behalf
• Reconcile invoices from deliveries once received and ensure accurate matching to BOLs and delivery entries
• Communicate with stores and vendors to conduct research and resolve mismatches or discrepancies; Address any identified errors and escalate issues to the supervisor
• As an AP Accountant, you will enter verified data into the system, ensuring accurate matching of deliveries, BOLs, and invoices
• Prepare and, in some instances, detail review journal entries prepared by others; Ensure each journal entry is accurate and supportable utilizing independent verification
• Assist with additional accounting projects as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is highly desired
• Proven experience in an accounting role with high-level data reconciliation and handling high volumes of transactions
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Exceptional note-taking abilities and capacity to follow detailed instructions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
