JOB SUMMARY:
Americo is currently hiring for an Actuarial Analyst III. This position is tasked with providing actuarial support, having a working knowledge of actuarial and administrative systems, staying up to date and applying ASOPs and regulations, and developing technical skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stay up to date and apply ASOPs and regulations, develop technical skills
- Complete understanding of Actuarial assumptions being used and correct usage thereof. Responsible for derivation with manager support.
- Obtain and review required data in support of work. Validate integrity of data, understand limitations, and perform needed analysis. Effectively present results for peer review and presentation.
- Near complete understanding of actuarial model including inputs and calculations therein. Effective utilization of model and ability to make changes with minimal support. Validation of model output and assessment of appropriateness.
- Provide support as requested for both the Actuarial department and other functional areas with focus on accuracy and efficiency. Ensure a general understanding of why the support is needed and what the end goal is.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- General knowledge of life insurance industry and practices, actuarial guidelines, Code of Professional Conduct, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of insurance products, actuarial software, and administrative systems
- Ability to solve problems, analyze data, and reconcile results
- Communication, people, and project management skills

- 4 year college degree
