The employee will perform a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments under the general guidance of the Team Manager or more experienced analyst. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/ programs within defined areas of responsibility. The Analyst will collect and analyze data to assist more experience analysts in the preparation of reports, dashboards, charts, graphs, and Power Point presentations for both internal and external management review. Use a variety of automated software programs, such as the Microsoft Tools and other spreadsheet, graphics and word processing programs to collect and analyze data. Assist with analytical support for assignments, or ongoing projects, assists senior analysts in consolidating data to prepare reports, and review and analyze dashboard/program activities.
Perform assignments, with some independence in the planning of time and using assigned resources to accomplish tasks or small projects. Apply experience and detailed knowledge of analytical methods and techniques to support analytics need and evaluative methods and techniques to plan and accomplish assignments. Assignments may include: collecting and recording data/information; evaluating data; conducting research; identifying problems; and assisting the manager and experienced analysts in the day-to-day operations.
The incumbent will assist with simple and complex analytical techniques, data mining, and statistical analysis in the development of solutions to enhance risk-based, data supported decision-making processes. Use qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze programs and identifies problems to assist manager or more experienced analysts to improve program effectiveness and efficiency. Utilizes Microsoft tools such as Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, word and business analysis tools to aid to collect data for the development and importing of reports and briefings by more experienced staff/team members. Assemble data to be used for various presentations, reports, charts and briefings, and uses office automation software to produce and prepare various materials such as spreadsheets, charts, databases, dashboards, and presentations.
Assist with gathering the data to prepare studies and analyses to resolve issues/problems of a procedural or factual nature. Consolidates detailed operational data, assists with programmatic reports required by the Service Units to enhance their ability to manage their programs and meet goals to include providing support of identifying relevant information, patterns/inconsistencies, trends/relationships, interdependencies, and potential implications. Identifies feasible work management approaches that address required activities and timelines. Collect relevant information that is aligned with objectives and meets the goals. Collaborate with Analysts/Specialists and other team members to address issues and/or concerns, and will follow up to ensure needs are met. Contribute to team efforts through participation in activities/meetings, soliciting and listening to others' opinions, and working collaboratively to accomplish team goals.
Assist with review/presentation on a variety of developed tools and products, makes recommendations on appropriate courses of action for routine procedural activities. Draft briefing materials, reports and similar documents for use as background by higher level analysts/ specialists or manager. Assist with data and/or written analyses and provide status of assignments.
Work is typically reviewed frequently during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness, policy compliance, and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or other work activities. Work activities will support ATO mission objectives.
