ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, month end close process, G/L account reconciliations, financial reporting and external audit support. You will analyze variances and make recommendations to ensure expense controls and process improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare journal entries for full cycle month-end close process and perform G/L account reconciliations Manage key accrual accounts, analyze revenues, and expenses Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits Analyze general expenses and trends; and make recommendations on appropriate levels and ensure expense controls Audit and review high volume transactions; take appropriate actions to address and adjust incorrect transactions Proactively detect, research, and resolve general expense items including review of invoices to ensure proper account coding Work closely with the business partners and FP&A team to ensure that expenses are properly captured Review and reconcile prepaid accounts and fixed assets Identify and recommend internal control and general expense process improvements, including full automation and design leveraging new finance platforms Project manage the full accounting lifecycle, from initial setup, monitoring, to month-end close Assist in system implementation and testing of new product features Assist in implementation of new accounting guidance Assist in all internal and external audits Assist in all compliance issues ROLE REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of five years of experience at a compant with more than $200M in revenue eCommerce, retail or consumer products experience is required Intermediate skills with ERP solutions, ideally NetSuite Strong working knowledge of GAAP Strong analytical skills, including advanced skills with Excel A mix of public and private accounting experience preferred Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment BA|BS in Accounting or Finance English, additional language(s) an advantage Schedule of this position: Monday - Friday | Core business hours | Onsite BENEFITS
