The Women's Operating Room at Inova's Fairfax Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and consists of eight fully functional operating rooms catering to patients in General Gynecology, Gynecological Oncology, Urological Gynecology, and Robotic procedures. Other specialties served include Urology, General, Colorectal, and Plastics.

Patients have varying levels of acuity, ranging from ambulatory to in-patient cases. Additional patients may come from the Emergency Room, external facilities, or physician's offices.

Position Summary:

Advanced knowledge in aseptic and surgical techniques Anticipation of required instrumentation for surgical procedures Collaboration with the surgical team Serving as a resource in specialty areas Preceptor role for new and experienced staff Evaluation of new products and equipment

Position Requirements:

Minimum one year of Operating Room Surgical Technologist experience Certification as a Surgical Technologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia BLS for Healthcare Provider certification Preferably certified through NBSTSA or NCCT
