Minneapolis, United States Gravie Full time

Hi, we’re Gravie. Our mission is to improve the way people purchase and access healthcare through innovative, consumer-centric health benefit solutions that people can actually use. Our industry-changing products and services are developed and delivered by a diverse group of unique people. We encourage you to be your authentic self - we like you that way.

A Little More About Us:

· We know healthcare. Our company was founded and is still led by industry veterans who have started and grown several market-leading companies in the space.

· We are quickly becoming one of the fastest growing health benefits companies in the country. We have received numerous awards and accolades, including Inc. Magazine Best in Business Gold Medal award in 2021, and JMP Securities Top 50 Private Companies in Insurtech in 2022.

· We have raised money from top tier investors who share the same long-term vision as we do of building an industry defining company that will endure over the long run. We are well capitalized.

· Our customers like us. Our revenue churn is in the low single digits, in an industry where greater than 20% churn is common.

· Our culture is unique. We tend to be non-hierarchical, merit-driven, opinionated but kind people who thrive working in a high-performance, fast-paced environment. People at Gravie care deeply about making a positive impact in the lives of the people we serve. We may not be the right place for everybody, but if you get energized by doing work every day that focuses on putting consumers at the front of the line, we could be a great place for you. It takes unique people and diverse perspectives to deliver our results. We encourage you to be your authentic self – we like you that way.

A Little More About The role:

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to support our growing analytics needs across the business. We’re looking for a dynamic analyst to help drive the quantitative and qualitative analysis that will help drive the management and growth of the company. Join us as we reinvent the way people purchase and access healthcare.

You Will:

· Assist in developing analytics for areas across the business, including but not limited to: Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Customer Experience and Clinical. You will play a key role in analyzing trends, identifying new opportunities, and translating insights into actionable solutions to enhance business performance and member experiences at Gravie.

· Design and perform diverse ad hoc quantitative and qualitative analyses to support management and growth of key areas of the business, using tools such as SQL, Python and R.

· Use your analytical and communication skills to help tell the story of the data to non-technical audiences.

· Ask and answer the right questions, including: How are we doing? What should we continue doing? What should we stop doing? What should we start doing in the future?

· Transform sometimes complex and large data sources into a usable format that can be used in conjunction with existing tools to show meaningful results.

· Employ rigorous quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of all analytical outputs.

· Develop creative solutions to new and emerging questions.

· Collaborate closely with others on your team and across the company to deliver results.

· Provide guidance to other team members on quantitative and qualitative best practices.

You Bring:

· 3+ years working in a data analytics or data science role, preferably in the healthcare or health insurance industry

· Strong analytical aptitude and problem solving skills

· Quantitative expertise, with a strong background in statistics and/or mathematics

· Advanced SQL, statistical programming (Python, R, etc.), and Microsoft Excel skills

· Experience using Redshift, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Athena, and other data-adjacent AWS services for data analytics projects

· Experience working with medical and pharmacy claims data

· Excellent attention to detail

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical results to tangible business actions

· Habits of excellent organization, time management, and responsiveness

· A flexible attitude and ability to work independently with limited direction

· An appetite for learning and quickly putting what you learn into practice

· Demonstrated commitment to core Gravie competencies of being authentic, curious, creative, empathetic and results oriented

· Passion about building impactful health benefit products and delivering amazing customer experiences

· College degree, technical certification or equivalent experience required

EXTRA CREDIT:

· Experience using Tableau or other business intelligence tools

Competitive pay is standard. Our unique benefits program is the gravy, i.e., the special sauce that sets our compensation package apart. In addition to standard benefits, Gravie’s package includes alternative medicine coverage, flexible PTO, 16 weeks paid parental leave, paid holidays, cell phone reimbursement, education reimbursement, and 1 week of paid paw-ternity leave just to name a few.
