  • This position supervises inmates who are assigned to landscaping and grounds maintenance activities in the City of Wildwood.
  • Supervises, observes and monitors inmate activities working in the area of parks and facilities maintenance.
  • Supervises inmates who are involved in special projects such as tree planting and land preparation.
  • Responsible for Department of Corrections time reports, inventory of assigned equipment, project planning and completion of reports.
  • Operates a variety of machinery equipment and tools to complete essential functions, to include the use of commercial-grade vehicles and trucks, tractors, pruners, shears, chainsaw, weed eater, mower, rakes, sprayer, paint sprayer, aerator, top dresser, leaf blower, buffer, vacuum cleaner, ladder, or other equipment.
  • A minimum of Thirty-two (32) hours orientation training by the Department of Corrections pertaining to inmate supervision;
  • Must be able to obtain a valid Basic Corrections Officer Training (BCOT) certification within months of hire.
  • The City of Wildwood participates in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) and contributions follow current Florida Legislative requirements.
