Responsibilities:

The Special Projects Manager will perform various tasks associated with acquisition, recording, correction, transfer, and release of vehicle certificates of title for our divisions.  The primary objectives of this position are the timely receipt of accurate vehicle titles or lien placement, and the timely release of titles and liens.

 

This role requires the ability to collaborate across company stakeholders and problem solve supporting Source to Settle servicing. The position requires flexibility and ability to adapt to changes in business demand and operations.  All positions within the Source to Settle are expected to collaborate cross-divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business need.   All requests must be managed in an expeditious manner.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
  • Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles tat the end of month.
  • Confirm accurate VIN number, odometer reading and releases of liens and that titles contain no alterations
  • Contacts banks to obtain lien releases.
  • Costing and finalizing deals to post to accounting.
  • Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements
  • Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
  • Maintains a system to track and manage all titles.
  • Manage and apply for titles and registrations with the applicable state.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Perform various other source to settle responsibilities and business requirements as assigned.
  • Prepare and submit all legal transfer documents to the state department of motor vehicles (DMV).
  • Prepare checks for lien payoffs, referrals, refunds, etc.
  • Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
  • Process DMV paperwork for all vehicles for in the fleet
  • Process Title work
  • Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
  • Processes yearly renewal of dealer tags in conjunction with comptroller.
  • Receive and process paperwork for all aspects of title and registration process and policies.
  • Responsible to produce all analytics and reporting for title and registration work.
  • Scanning and uploading Documents
  • Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Support management and divisions team in all aspects of title and registration process and policies
  • Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
  • Verifies the costs and transactions for each vehicle sale.
  • Work under pressure in a fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
Qualifications:

Talent Requirements:

  • Must have 2 years recent experience in state and out of state registration and title management
  • Must have Notary Public designation or the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Notary Public designation with six (6) months of employment
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven exceptional customer service experience
  • A problem solver who is adept at anticipating issues and effecting solutions
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize goals/task to meet business objectives
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
