About the RoleResponsibilities:
As a founding member of our Infrastructure Security team, you will be responsible for leading broad-scope initiatives to harden our infrastructure against sophisticated threat actors.
Design and implement the core infrastructure that supports our applications, services, and large language model training and inference pipelines at scale.
Our infrastructure is home to some of the most valuable intellectual property in the world - including some of the largest language models to be found anywhere - and it will be your responsibility to ensure our systems operate reliably and securely in the presence of malicious adversaries.Job responsibilities may include:
Envisioning, designing, and implementing hardened infrastructureEnsuring our Kubernetes clusters are configured to prevent unauthorized accessHardening our cloud compute environmentsDesigning workflows and developing tooling that enables developers to securely utilize our infrastructure while maintaining velocityImplement secure build artifact handling and deployment flowsIntegrate CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure to automate and secure deploymentsRequirements:
Competitive candidates will have:
At least 5 years of experience with infrastructure security and/or software engineeringExperience working with Kubernetes and DockerFamiliarity with cloud environments such as GCP or AWSAbility to understand and contribute code to complex codebasesFamiliarity with various SSH key management approachesDeep understanding of service mesh technologies such as Istio, linkerd, or GCP AnthosUnderstanding of common CI/CD-based workflowsProficiency in Linux-based server environments with a high degree of comfort on the Linux CLIExperience architecting secure system designs to meet product requirements at scaleFamiliarity with zero trust conceptsA demonstrated ability to work autonomously to identify and resolve problems independentlyOutstanding candidates will have one or more of the following:
Experience with common web application and web service design patternsFamiliarity with Helm for managing Kubernetes deploymentsPrevious experience in a technology startupYou will be a good fit if you are proactive and have a get things done mindset.
