To prospective team members,

I am the medical director for Sound s emergency medicine (EM) program in the new Pediatrics Inpatient and Emergency Medicine?at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, Maryland. I have proudly been a part of Sound for two years. I welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or desiring a career change. I d like to share more about it, specifically about our people, practice, and purpose, as you consider your options:

People

We are a supportive team of eight physicians and three advanced practice providers (APPs).We thrive on the diversity of our clinicians, hailing from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds. We continuously learn from one another to approach patient care with fresh perspectives.Many of our members are on different committees, such as pharmacy, therapeutics, and peer review committees.

Practice

We welcome the challenge of complex cases in a well-supported unit.For those who want to teach, we work with medical students from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.Recognizing the importance of family and spending time outdoors, we offer a flexible schedule.
